The M.L. Denise records are made up of correspondence, meeting minutes, and reports. The records consist primarily of Industrial Relations Committee meeting minutes along with related correspondence, 1948-1955. Minutes and correspondence address the issues of union disputes and negotations, strikes, insurance, pension plans, health plans, and unemployment, as well as such topics as salaried employees, cost of living, UAW and UAW-CIO, the Steel Division, Henry Ford Hospital, Teamsters leader James Hoffa, and the Battle of the Overpass. Also included are reports from the Steel Division, 1955, and the Industrial Relations Legal Department, 1945-1946; and correspondence from the State Bar of Michigan Labor Relations Law Section, 1954. Much of the departmental correspondence is from John S. Bugas.
